Harry Dodge of Risdon, an ex square rig sailor come waterside worker and firewood merchant ran a ships graveyard at Old Beach.
"Captain" Dodge, as he called himself, was at the wheel of "Otago" which had been towed to Risdon by the ex steam yacht "Ena". The final shove from Ena saw "Captain Dodge" steer his one pound ship towards his jetty which he rammed. Jetty and shed collapsed. Dodge then cut and opened up the stem, ran a plank up and used her as his firewood cutting shed.
